Peru1982

In 1982 Peru was emerging from twelve years of military dictatorship which left underlying problems, not least the internal terrorist organisations, the Falklands war also started and Peru was at the time a strong ally to Argentina, these destabilisations tended to discourage visitors which meant at many wonderful archaeological sites I was the only visitor. Six months was really not long enough to cover this amazing country however my book I hope does give a flavour of how it was in 1982.
