Beach Pigeons

"Beach Pigeons" is a collection of photos taken between 2019 and 2023. Isabella captures scenes from everyday life - from siblings cutting their nails, to strangers hanging laundry. This obsession with photographing mundane scenes, which was heavily influenced by the Covid lock down, has resulted in a documentary-style collection of images. These show intimate moments between the photographer and her subjects, as well as "observational" photos taken from a distance, as to not influence the scene.  

In Isabella's words: "The people that I surround myself with tend to quickly become my muses and I start to capture small things that they do. Photography has become a way that I show my affection to those that I'm closest to, and a way of documenting moments that are nostalgic to me."
